Flexibility….
Now that we have lights (thanks John!!!!), lighting board, and will be building a lofted booth, the space has become even more flexible. Dance floors, epic sound system, theatrical blocks and platforms, storage space, and more, make it the pinnacle of DIY without KY (Killing Yourself).
Here are some different ways the space has been used in the past year as it evolves to suit the needs of artists working in all disciplines, as well as free ESL classes, fire-dancing collective training, and more:

Here are some more pictures of our main Performance Space, we will be putting up sound paneling and making the Garage into a cheap rehearsal studio for bands, and spots are being taken up fast! Email us at surrehearsalspace@gmail.com to book a weekly time for between $10 and $17/hour!

New floor and AIR CONDITIONING!
Soon we will be posting pictures of the new floor, but until then, enjoy these pictures taken of the new space during our most recent show.
Not only have we finished our beautiful new floor, painted the walls, and put up a curtain so that residents do not disrupt rehearsals, but we have a new, beautiful, and HUGE air conditioner.

Performance Space Construction Update
The wood for the floor is down, all we have to do is lay vinyl and paint it. Here are some pictures of the building and painting process:

We are getting a new floor installed in the Performance Space at Surreal Estate! Everything should be ready by May 25th but until then the Performance Space will be unavailable for rent, only the Garage.
